Hello! My name is Kaylee Miller and I am a second-year graduate student in the school counseling program through the Department of Counseling Psychology and Guidance Services at Ball State University. I am also completing my internship at Noblesville High School. In addition to my classes and internship, I am a Graduate Assistant at the Science and Humanities Desk in the Learning Center. I originally attended Ohio State University for my freshman year of college, and then transferred to Ball State where I completed my bachelor's degree in Psychology with minors in Interpersonal Relations and Human Development in just two more years. Finishing up my undergraduate degree a year early, I took this opportunity to go straight into my master's program. I have always been passionate about working with children, and I have followed this passion through my work as an Assistant Teacher at Rainbow Child Care Center and as a YMCA Summer Day Camp Counselor. During the final year of my undergraduate career I was a Special Services Intern at Burris Laboratory School where I was able to work closely with the master's level interns at that time. I spent my practicum experience at North View Elementary and Precious Hearts Development Center in Muncie, Indiana. I have truly enjoyed the opportunity to enhance my skills and make a meaningful, positive impact on the lives of students, and I look forward to continuing this progress throughout my internship as I work towards my goal of becoming a professional school counselor. During my (rare) spare time, I enjoy taking walks with my husband and our Siberian Husky puppy - who needs about five walks a day! We also enjoy camping, visiting Disney World, and rooting for the 49ers!
